St George is a powerful figure in human legend. As a symbolic figure he represents that strong masculine energy that cannot be intimidated or overpowered. He embodies the ideals of chivalry - not to kill as many beings as possible but to respect all life and seek to preserve it. The dragon represents the base nature of self that needs to be conquered in order to access our more noble aspects.
