Seek the Light
Seek the Light
The text is about understanding that the Light of the Divine is within us. The very essence of who we are at an energetic level is a piece of the Divine itself. That Divine Essence has all the attributes of the Divine, and has chosen to experience the material world using a physical body so that it may learn and become more of itself. To discover that essence requires us to walk the spiritual path that is guarded by the symbolic Griffon and Dragon. Both of these stand as guardians of the hidden treasures that lay deep within. The inner urge inside us that struggles to be more, understand more, and be better than we were before is the Divine plan in action. This is symbolised by the Phoenix that rises from the ashes of the past and represents reincarnation, eternal Light, immortality and is the symbol of the desire for change and transformation. The unicorn is a symbol of purity and magic and has the ability to bestow wisdom to those who are pure of heart. The collar with the broken chain represents breaking free from bondage. This symbolises breaking free from the prison of our own thoughts that have limited us and kept us small. The pansies in the miniature are a flower that represents thoughts and meditation. Contemplation and meditation are the keys to exploring the spiritual path that leads to the Divine.
This piece is based on manuscript designs in the international Gothic style from the fifteenth century.
